Requirements

Candidates should possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, with a Master's degree or PE license being preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design, including significant involvement with ASME pressure vessel design, is required. Additionally, at least 5 years of engineering leadership experience managing cross-functional and multi-disciplinary design teams is necessary. Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, B31.3, and related design and pressure vessel codes is essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Mechanical Engineering Design will lead and manage designers in delivering integrated systems, assemblies, and ASME pressure vessels in collaboration with engineering specialists. They will provide design leadership, oversee the creation of detailed design deliverables and drawing packages, and establish robust CAD standards and workflows. This role involves coordinating mechanical design efforts across teams and stakeholders, guiding technical execution, and maintaining a hands-on presence in design efforts. Responsibilities also include overseeing engineering design deliverables across multiple projects, mentoring and developing the design team, and fostering a collaborative design environment to resolve complex engineering challenges.
