Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant manufacturing or technical experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
  • Financial acumen, including P&L management

Responsibilities

  • Continuously comply with all related regulatory requirements and stop further processing in the event of encountering non-conforming product condition
  • Ensure that Operations Facilitators and/or Manufacturing Supervisors establish effective plans and strategies to meet SPR goals in Quality, Cost, and Service, with periodic monitoring and feedback
  • Ensure service levels are maintained, avoiding backorder, minimizing scrap, and ensuring maximum process yields; establish effective manufacturing systems with measurable performance monitoring
  • Establish employee feedback programs to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Schedule and coordinate effective training programs with Training Area direct reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, JPAL)
  • Support functional managers in meeting business plans and strategies for SPR; ensure operations are maintained within budgets
  • Ensure and coordinate with product development on-time product introductions
  • Establish development programs for Operations Facilitators and/or Manufacturing Supervisors in finance, marketing, project management, budgeting, human resources skills, and policies
  • Ensure Operations Facilitators and/or Manufacturing Supervisors establish effective cross-training programs among manufacturing units
  • Coordinate production schedules through capacity planning
  • Perform reviews of the EHSMS considering audit results, business changes, and commitment to continuous improvements to evaluate suitability and effectiveness
  • Establish environmental objectives and targets for the area to provide continuous environmental improvements
  • Provide support to managers in recruitment of talent and performance management, including hiring, communicating policies, coaching, counseling, performance appraisals, and disciplinary measures
  • Provide leadership, directions, expectations, and performance feedback to direct reports and the support team as needed
