World Kinect is seeking a Senior Manager, Expeditionary Fuel Solutions to lead its Petroleum Over the Shore (POTS) operations. This role involves interfacing with government clients, leading classified planning sessions, and driving growth in expeditionary fuel solutions, particularly within the defense and logistics sectors.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in logistics and petroleum systems within a government or military context, with a preference for the Indo-Pacific Theater.
- In-depth technical knowledge of POTS systems and offshore fuel handling.
- At least 10 years of experience as a Senior Military Bulk Fuel Specialist (or equivalent commercial rating).
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
- Strong background in program and personnel management.
- Proven success in federal program execution and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Business Development Support:
- Identify new opportunities within the government contracting portfolio.
- Craft compelling technical proposals.
- Nurture strong client relationships within the defense and logistics sectors.
- Program Leadership:
- Lead petroleum logistics over the shore programs.
- Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients.
- Coordinate efforts across engineering, logistics, and field teams.
- POTS Equipment Oversight:
- Provide expert guidance on the operation, maintenance, and deployment of POTS systems for offshore fuel distribution.
- Ensure readiness, compliance, and seamless integration of POTS infrastructure.
- Personnel and Team Oversight:
- Oversee staffing, training, and day-to-day leadership of technical personnel supporting POTS projects.
- Align team members with operational goals, contract requirements, and safety standards.
- Training Program Development:
- Design and implement training programs to certify staff on fuel handling procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with DoD and industry training standards.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Champion site-specific safety protocols in accordance with OSHA, EPA, federal, and host nation regulations.
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and after-action reviews.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification by the Joint Engineer Operations Course, US Army Engineer School.
- Certification in Joint Logistics Over The Shore Staff Planning.
- OSHA-30 Hour General Industry Safety Card.
- MA in Organizational Leadership (or equivalent).
Working Conditions
- Daily remote work from home, collaborating with the Global Physical Operations and the Australia Expeditionary Fuel Solutions Teams.
- Monthly travel to engage with Indo-Pacific military services.
- Ability to provide technical oversight, management, and training of petroleum equipment in austere locations.
