Requirements

  • 8+ years experience driving operational improvements in a Deal Desk or Sales Operations including time at at least one high growth B2B SaaS company
  • Demonstrated track record of process improvement for contract processing and general support to the sales organization
  • Strong organizational skills and business judgment with the ability to handle projects independently end-to-end
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills to understand sales policies and processes at a company and individual sales rep level
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work across the business with Sales, Finance, Legal and others
  • Strong process thinking to drive continuous improvements to the Deal Desk
  • Ability to work independently across multiple time zones and coordinate with management based in the US
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Exceptional analytical skills along with the ability to demonstrate practical judgment in sophisticated situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; diligent with deliverables and deadlines, able to multitask
  • Solid understanding of SaaS software revenue recognition principles
  • Experience in contract management
  • Clear business focus and proven track record in commercial negotiations

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a deal desk team supporting sales in deal structuring, deal approval and deal management - focusing on achieving business priorities while minimizing sales cycle times, optimizing bookings, revenue and profitability
  • Provide guidance to sales on pricing and contract terms in the deal making process
  • Drive best practices to increase sales efficiency and effectiveness via deal reviews, early checkpoints and enforcement of standard business practices and policies
  • Review and approve complex quotes and sales orders
  • Work closely with Finance on billing and payment issue resolution
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Legal leaders to define standard / non-standard deal criteria and related deal structures and approval processes
  • Provide guidance to the sales team on contract accuracy and best practices to increase deal velocity and decrease cycle time
  • Establish a streamlined review process for pricing, customer information, contract accuracy, and alert Sales of any inaccuracies or supporting information necessary to close the transaction
  • Contribute to Deal Desk initiatives by participating in special projects, including the creation of the playbook for finalizing booking submissions, Deal Desk automation, dashboards, sales analytics, and various performance metrics
  • Identify and drive implementation of new tools and process improvements to support growth
