Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working in analytical or data science function and directly influencing key business decisions and technology strategies
  • Demonstrated experience of embedding Data Science or Analytical solutions into operational processes
  • Background in software engineering (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or related field, with focus on Business Management
  • 2-4 years of direct people leadership experience
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills with natural curiosity and strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solver, with ability to handle ambiguous and open-ended problems
  • Expert at data and model management
  • Extensive experience in building Logic/ML-based Predictive Models and Optimization Models
  • Strong in scalable data manipulation technologies such as Spark, Pandas, Polars
  • Strong Oral and Written communicator, able to convey complex ideas in simple terms
  • Ability to prepare presentation content for diverse audience groups
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally, effectively gathering or giving feedback
  • Technical Experience working with customer data platforms, event-level data, ML & feature engineering pipelines
  • Highly proficient in writing/reviewing code written in SQL, Python, R, and leveraging machine learning frameworks & toolkits such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark, or scikit-learn
  • Working knowledge of Web Deployment frameworks such as Streamlit/Rshiny
  • Experience using GCP
  • Experience deploying ML models

Responsibilities

  • Define strategy, requirements, and deliver data products to drive data science initiatives for growth and efficiency
  • Collaborate across various business functions to solve critical needs
  • Evangelize Machine Learning/AI and introduce innovative data technologies
  • Lead the strategy and execution of Data Science, Data Products, and Research and Optimization functions
  • Manage resource prioritization to maximize returns
  • Integrate data science capabilities with business needs to address tangible problems with measurable impact
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders in Operations, Merchandising, Finance, Technology, and Marketing to identify opportunities where Machine Learning, AI, or other data products can resolve issues, improve efficiency, or reduce costs
  • Lead critical unit, sales, and channel forecasting, guiding budget planning both short-term and long-term
  • Build and execute a long-term roadmap to elevate data science capabilities by researching, piloting, and introducing innovative data technologies and products
  • Partner with Data Science leaders across the organization to share best practices, methods, and technologies
  • Lead a cross-functional team of experimentation, research, UX specialists, and other partners to envision, build, test, and deliver impactful consumer experiences
