Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is required
  • Advanced degree such as MBA, Masters, JD, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience, with exposure to business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs, and finance
  • Experience working in life sciences industry, preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to Excel file management, PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience with data analytics, including building, iterating, and managing reports and/or dashboards in relevant systems such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Strong English written and verbal skills and ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels
  • Oral and/or written proficiency in other Asian languages, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct oversight for complex elements of Abbott's compliance program in the APAC region (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Australia, and New Zealand), including communications, training, systems management, data analytics, risk management, and monitoring
  • Oversee the OEC’s compliance key program elements
  • Direct and manage the APAC analysts
  • Ensure monitoring planning, execution, and reporting for APAC with the two analysts reporting to them; deliver results and analysis to the ECO & local OEC
  • Serve as SME for APAC on Monitoring and HighBond, ensuring consistency with global guidance, standardization, and simplification in the region
  • Perform data consolidation and analytics, using PBI Dashboards to identify risks and outliers, and deliver reports and analysis conclusions to the ECO & local OEC
  • Develop communications based on a strategic plan with local OEC, seeking synergies and consistency, overseeing creation of materials or leveraging existing ones; serve as APAC point of contact for annual Compliance Week activities
  • Develop, execute, and oversee training plans based on a strategic plan with local OEC, seeking synergies and consistency, creating and/or using existing materials
  • Streamline policy updates for the region
  • Support regional division business teams on business consulting and reports on monitoring and other program elements
  • Oversee systems implementation and management for the APAC region
  • Accountable to the APAC Ethics and Compliance Officer
  • Operate with autonomy and limited supervision on assigned program, operations matters & business units with significant impact to Abbott's Compliance Program
