Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, installs, configures, and maintains enterprise operating and infrastructure systems
  • Researches and evaluates NonStop/Mainframe OS, firmware, and ISV product upgrade packages
  • Provides expert knowledge of assigned native programs and ISV software
  • Recommends configuration settings for systems
  • Performs upgrades and new product installations (under limited review)
  • Understands the impact of product roll-outs and proposes roll-out schedules
  • Resolves daily and on-call issues
  • Documents moderate to complex projects
  • Peer reviews the work of others
  • Conducts necessary modifications to communication channels and ensures successful message/transaction and data migration processes
  • Supports higher-level System Administrators in strategy and rule definitions
