Mozilla Corporation is a technology company supported by a non-profit organization, dedicated to improving the internet for the past 25 years. We are the creators of pioneering brands such as Firefox, a privacy-focused web browser. With over 225 million monthly users worldwide, we are actively shaping the future of technology and advocating for an internet that prioritizes people over corporations. Our work spans diverse areas including AI, social media, and security, all while remaining committed to our core mission of making the internet a better place for everyone.
Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the 501(c) Mozilla Foundation. This unique structure frees us from shareholder obligations, allowing us to focus solely on our mission. In collaboration with thousands of global volunteers and contributors, Mozillians design, build, and distribute open-source software that empowers individuals to experience the internet on their own terms.
The Firefox Machine Learning team is focused on developing and scaling AI-powered features within Mozilla's flagship product. Our goal is to enhance the browser's intelligence, helpfulness, and user-centricity. As a Senior Manager on this team, you will lead the engineering and Machine Learning efforts to develop, train, and deploy Generative AI models and features directly into Firefox. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how millions of users interact with the web daily.
You will guide a team of highly skilled ML engineers who operate at the intersection of user experience, privacy, and innovative research, driving Mozilla's vision to make powerful AI accessible to everyone.
Not-for-profit organization promoting internet health
Mozilla operates as a not-for-profit organization focused on promoting an open and accessible internet. Its main product is the Firefox browser, which emphasizes user privacy and security. Mozilla generates revenue through partnerships and search engine royalties, allowing it to reinvest in projects that enhance internet health rather than distributing profits to shareholders. This commitment to user empowerment and ethical practices sets Mozilla apart from traditional for-profit tech companies. Additionally, Mozilla engages in advocacy and educational initiatives through the Mozilla Foundation, supporting open-source projects and internet literacy programs. The goal of Mozilla is to create a better internet for everyone by prioritizing user-centric products and fostering a healthier online ecosystem.
