Requirements

Candidates are required to possess an extensive experience in multi-modal perception and vision development, expertise in implementing vision & perception algorithms and deploying on real-world systems, knowledge of Linux and development on Linux systems, and experience working on robot and/or automotive and/or aerospace systems. A Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director of Perception will be responsible for building software for self-driving cars by leading, managing, and growing a team of perception engineers and scientists, taking responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects, providing the team with technical leadership and contributing technically to projects, developing the Perception technical roadmap, and collaborating with technical leadership in other areas such as Planning, System Architecture, and Sensors to ultimately deliver solutions for the autonomous driving system.
