Description: This position is an individual contributor within the Internal Audit team at Q2, responsible for leading and performing audit engagements, including the testing of U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance testing. The role focuses on assessing organizational risks by engaging with leaders across the business and contributing to the development of the internal audit project plan. A strong understanding of SOX, including planning, testing, remediation, and follow-up, is required, covering areas such as revenue accounting, implementation cost capitalization, cost of sales, and financial reporting. The role also requires partnering with technology auditors to understand and address technology risks.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance
  • Understanding of financial, operational, and compliance audits
  • Experience with IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors) standards
  • Ability to assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with business leaders
  • Ability to develop and review audit workpapers and reports

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform audit engagements, including SOX compliance testing.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and perform testing documentation to assess internal controls.
  • Execute complex financial, operational, and compliance audits.
  • Participate in risk assessments to identify key risks and controls.
  • Develop content of audit reports and review audit workpapers.
  • Contribute to the development of the internal audit project plan, including advisory and assurance projects.
  • Partner with technology auditors to understand and address technology risks.
  • Engage with leaders across various business functions (accounting, finance, HR, sales, marketing, legal, etc.).
