Position Overview

The IT Audit Manager is responsible for leading and managing IT audit activities across the organization to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, SOX, and risk management. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate across departments to strengthen IT controls and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive IT audit plans, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Lead audits related to IT security, infrastructure, applications, data governance, and compliance frameworks such as SOX, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Identify and assess IT risks, recommending mitigation strategies and improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, HR, Compliance, and other stakeholders to address findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide expertise in IT control design, assessments, process improvements, and security best practices.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of IT auditors as the function grows, fostering professional growth and adherence to audit methodologies.
  • Stay up to date with evolving technology risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
  • Communicate audit results and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, executive-friendly manner.
  • Support external auditors and regulatory agencies by providing documentation and insights into IT controls.
