Candidates should possess 5-8+ years of experience in building and operating cloud infrastructure within AWS and/or Azure. Required skills include hands-on experience with VPCs, subnets, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, and private networking, along with strong Kubernetes expertise in production environments (EKS, AKS, ECS). Experience managing cloud IAM, familiarity with infrastructure cost management and right-sizing practices, and proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation) are also necessary. The role requires comfort working cross-functionally with InfoSec, DevOps, and platform stakeholders, and the ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives and mentor others. Preferred qualifications include experience administering both Windows and Linux systems, integrating cloud infrastructure with SSO/IdP tools, exposure to compliance and security frameworks, scripting or automation skills, experience with multi-account/multi-subscription cloud architecture, prior experience in SaaS or high-growth tech companies, understanding of web server technologies, and AWS or Azure cloud certifications.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and maintain global cloud infrastructure services across AWS and Azure, standardizing and automating resource provisioning. They will define and enforce best practices for networking, IAM, and resource configuration, and manage Kubernetes clusters including upgrades, policies, and scaling. This role involves driving infrastructure cost optimization, performance tuning, and resource hygiene, collaborating with InfoSec on shared controls, and creating reusable patterns, IaC modules, and tools. The engineer will lead platform-wide infrastructure initiatives, act as an advisor to DevOps and application delivery teams, support observability infrastructure, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to strategic planning for the Infrastructure Engineering function.
