Role Summary

The Senior Immigration Specialist will manage the relocation, immigration, and mobility needs of Deel’s global workforce. This role involves close collaboration with HR, legal, and tax teams to provide seamless support for employees on international assignments or relocations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and facilitating employee movement across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring and maintaining compliance in assigned countries according to relevant immigration laws, regulations, operational rules, and RACI.
  • Assessing right-to-work requirements for Employees of Record (EORs).
  • Processing immigration-related administrative tasks, including preparing and submitting immigration applications to local authorities.
  • Liaising with local providers to complete immigration assessments.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of country-specific visa processes, compliance requirements, and acting as a subject matter expert in areas of ownership.
  • Auditing, maintaining, and updating internal and external mobility-related knowledge in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Providing support to EORs and clients for mobility-related questions or concerns through all available communication channels.
  • Managing the entire employment life-cycle for non-nationals, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Ensuring the quality of mobility operations in the assigned countries.
  • Working on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in global mobility, immigration, or international HR, with a specific focus on Germany.
  • Fluency in English and German languages.
  • Strong knowledge of global relocation, immigration, and tax compliance in Germany.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (HR, Legal, Tax, Finance) to manage mobility processes.
