Requirements
Candidates are required to have 5 years' experience as an EDI analyst, business analyst, implementation, or client/payer-side experience in healthcare revenue cycle management software and technology, along with knowledge of EDI protocols and standards, specifically 27x and 83x healthcare transactions. Proficiency in EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, HL7), EDI mapping tools, and related software applications is necessary, as well as experience with business processes and workflows related to healthcare reimbursement and patient access. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including scrum and Kanban, and experience using Salesforce, Atlassian JIRA, Microsoft 365 applications, with strong proficiency in Excel and other data analytics tools is also required.
Responsibilities
The Senior Healthcare EDI Analyst will manage and support the electronic exchange of healthcare information, establishing connectivity to exchange transactions, monitoring and troubleshooting EDI transactions, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. They will optimize product solutions, supporting process improvements, navigating automation and AI technologies, monitoring and troubleshooting EDI transactions to resolve errors promptly, maintaining and growing direct connections with product and technology teams, communicating EDI connectivity issues with stakeholders, identifying process improvement opportunities with IT, operations, and business teams, communicating with all partners regarding EDI, API, and web/screen capture connectivity issues, developing and maintaining EDI documentation, including companion guides, smart checklists, payer lists, and internal process documentation, hosting external working sessions with trading partners, vendors, and clients, providing training and support to internal teams on EDI processes and best practices, and leveraging internal relationships to resolve transaction issues.
