Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong full-stack foundation with over 5 years of experience in JavaScript, React, and backend development, preferably with OOP and Laravel/PHP. A minimum of 2 years building scalable, multi-tenant SaaS products is required, along with strong PostgreSQL skills including query optimization and performance tuning. Experience in growth engineering, building for experimentation and metrics-driven iteration, and a track record of breaking down complex problems into testable proofs-of-concept are essential. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, product, and design teams, communicate technical tradeoffs, and solve problems autonomously in ambiguous, early-stage environments is also necessary. A user-centered approach and a focus on quality, including testing and documentation, are highly valued.

Responsibilities

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will drive cross-product impact by building experiments in Proposals, optimizing onboarding flows, and developing features that impact acquisition, monetization, and retention metrics. They will operate in a Kanban environment, balancing rapid iteration with quality engineering practices, and own end-to-end user journeys from signup to subscription upgrades. Responsibilities include pioneering AI-driven experiences and workflows, leading with autonomy in a self-directed environment, and building with experimentation in mind by setting up A/B tests and prototyping new experiences. The engineer will develop full-stack solutions using React and Laravel, making pragmatic trade-offs between speed and complexity, and contributing to the future direction of roofing software.
