Staff Frontend Engineer (Platform)
PhantomFull Time
Mid-level (3 to 4 years), Senior (5 to 8 years)
Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better. We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 3000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.
The DX team at Paddle are making Paddle a world-class experience for the developers who are integrating our billing platform. We do that by providing documentation that’s powered by a custom stack built on top of Markdoc and Next.js as well as offering developer tooling like our SDKs, including our flagship client library Paddle.js and a hand-written Node SDK.
We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who possesses a solid background in frontend development with React and vanilla Typescript. Some experience and understanding of build tools would be an asset. Experience with checkout and payment systems and related technologies, third-party integrations, and a user-centric design philosophy will also be particularly valued.
If you’re a product-minded Engineer that appreciates a great developer experience, you’re exactly what we’re looking for. Working in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, technical writers and designers, you’ll be providing a DX framework for our product teams to rapidly ship cohesive products as well as building out end-to-end features and SDKs that will delight our users.
