A minimum of 2 years of experience in service scheduling, dispatch, or logistics coordination is necessary, with solar or renewable energy industry experience being preferred. Knowledge of OSHA and general field safety practices is essential. Proficiency with scheduling or service management software, such as Salesforce and other Field Service Management software, is required. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are needed to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in commercial solar field work, supervisory roles, or managing geographically dispersed teams and schedules across regions or time zones is a plus.
The Senior Field Service Manager, Commercial is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the scheduling of field service technicians for commercial solar energy systems. This includes developing, maintaining, and updating daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, and coordinating emergency response and high-priority service calls. The role involves assigning and tracking work orders in Salesforce, ensuring all job details are accurate, and acting as the main point of contact between field teams and management for schedule updates. Responsibilities also include analyzing route planning to increase efficiency, monitoring KPIs to identify areas for improvement, and maintaining accurate records of services, timesheets, and job completion statuses. Daily and weekly reports on scheduling efficiency and field activity will be prepared for management.
