Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in equipment engineering, particularly with capital equipment and automation systems. Strong project management skills and experience in continuous improvement methodologies are essential, as is a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles. Experience with risk assessment and mitigation is also required.
The Senior Equipment Engineer will take ownership of internal and contract manufacturing processes in development, partnering with R&D and Process Development teams to transfer manufacturing processes into production. They will conduct reviews of current capabilities, establish new processes, and assess improvements to these processes. This role will involve troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, optimizing automation processes, and improving system reliability, while also working on problems of diverse scope and adapting existing approaches to resolve issues. The Engineer will also conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure the safety of equipment and automation designs.
