Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with 12+ years of industry experience in Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity, are required, alongside a desire to constantly grow and learn new things. Experience architecting or developing large-scale distributed systems for deep learning and knowledge of CPU and/or GPU architecture are also beneficial.

Responsibilities

As a Principal Research Engineer, the individual will develop new models and algorithms in Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis, Natural Language Processing, and Deep Learning, architecting and implementing features in C++, CUDA, and Python. They will demonstrate good engineering practices, mentor team members, and work with engineering teams across NVIDIA to ensure seamless software integration. Additionally, the role involves analyzing functionality coverage, defining APIs, and contributing to optimized inference technologies for NVIDIA’s generative AI needs, alongside interacting with internal partners, users, and the open-source community.
