Candidates should have 4 or more years of professional experience in engineering leadership, experience leading multiple teams with a history of managing managers, and a successful track record of growing leaders into senior roles. Strong decision-making skills are required, along with experience in developing engineering-wide initiatives and managing complex, long-term projects involving multiple teams. Effective communication and storytelling abilities are essential, as is experience in driving 0->1 initiatives or AI product development.
The Senior Engineering Manager will drive significant impact for customers and the business by leading teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably. They will build a best-in-class engineering team, coaching and mentoring to create an environment where team members can perform at their best. The manager will set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring alignment with Vanta’s business priorities, and work closely with customers and customer-facing teams to build and ship high-value products and infrastructure.
