Candidates should possess at least four years of relevant experience in data engineering, demonstrating expertise in designing and developing distributed data pipelines and systems. They should have a strong understanding of scalability, flexibility, and efficiency in data architecture, utilizing pipeline authoring tools like Metaflow and large-scale data processing technologies such as Spark.
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing the data architecture, ensuring its scalability and efficiency, and collaborating with researchers to understand and fulfill their data needs for model training and production monitoring. They will also define and extend internal standards for data style, maintenance, and best practices, taking ownership of key data engineering projects and ensuring data quality, integrity, and security through robust validation and access controls. Furthermore, they will evaluate and recommend data technologies, continuously monitor and improve the data infrastructure’s performance and stability.
