Knowledge of substation power system planning, engineering, maintenance, and operations (highly desirable)
Strong background in process improvement
Ability to interpret and analyze financial data (inferred from incomplete description)
No need for immigration sponsorship; must be authorized to work without company involvement
Ability to work hybrid schedule (at least 3 days in office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, up to 5 days if needed)
Responsibilities
Provide input to the development of the Transmission Business capital budget
Identify, initiate, and prioritize projects for inclusion in the one-year and five-year Capital Budget Plan
Work with Engineering, Project Management, and Cost Estimating to develop detailed project scope, cost, and schedule
Lead interdisciplinary project team to select the best solution, document alternatives analysis, and present project approval justifications to the Solution Design Committee and/or Eversource Project Approval Committee
Develop operational strategies for the utilization of asset resources, considering asset life cycle planning and risk analysis
Analyze Transmission and Substation reliability, including goal setting, reporting, and System Operations Review Committee activities
Develop and issue transmission system performance measures; identify gaps and opportunities for future project performance improvements
Facilitate the creation and maintenance of the Transmission and Substation asset database
Implement and support tri-state processes for consistent collection and management of asset data
Perform asset data analysis to support asset management strategies and equipment replacement programs
Communicate the Asset Management strategy throughout Eversource and to external parties as necessary
Identify best practices and opportunities for future improvement
Oversee the development of asset strategies, tools, and procedures for managing Transmission assets
Ensure Eversource Business Strategy for the transmission program is optimally developed for highest system reliability at lowest costs, considering regulatory environment
Develop coordinated transmission programs and budgets
Identify process improvements with respect to development, approval, and management of transmission projects
Provide input to the development and prioritization of the transmission capital programs
Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other functions
Benchmark Eversource’s transmission asset performance relative to the industry
