Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS in Electrical Engineering, with an MS or PhD preferred. They should have over 10 years of experience in designing and testing electrical systems, particularly in robotics or consumer electronics. Expertise in high-speed analog and digital design, embedded systems, power electronics, and motor controllers is essential. Proficiency in electrical CAD tools, specifically Altium, and a working knowledge of Linux command line is required. Extensive hands-on experience with testing equipment and familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN and I2C is necessary. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also important.

Responsibilities

The Senior Electrical Engineer will design complex printed circuit boards and propose the overall electrical architecture for the delivery robot. They will own the complete lifecycle of PCBA development, from specification to manufacturing, and define comprehensive documentation for system design. The role involves developing hardware with a focus on manufacturing efficiency and compliance with EMC and EMI standards. The engineer will collaborate closely with embedded software engineers to ensure hardware-firmware integration and will investigate hardware failures and performance issues to implement corrective actions.
