Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 9 years of experience in general software engineering and solution architecture
- At least 9 years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns
- Record of taking a strategic and systematic approach to challenging technical problems and seeing them to completion
- Technical expertise that influences product direction
- Expert in distributed systems, building, scaling, and modernizing business-critical applications across legacy to modern architectures
- Experience delivering massive business results and adapting to changing technology while evaluating tradeoffs
- Experience with backend development, DevOps, microservices, containers, mobile development, web development
- Ability to start with user needs (consumers or internal engineers) before architecting solutions
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Responsibilities
- Articulate and evangelize a bold technical vision for your domain
- Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions
- Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation
- Serve as an authoritative expert on non-functional system characteristics (performance, scalability, operability)
- Continue learning and injecting advanced technical knowledge into the community
- Handle several projects simultaneously, balancing time to maximize impact
- Act as a role model and mentor, coaching and strengthening technical expertise in the engineering and product community
- Operate end-to-end to enable credit cards on next-generation processing systems
- Design and implement solutions and platforms for credit card issuance to settlements
- Drive innovation and shape the future of credit card processing
- Lead through technical contribution as a trusted advisor on technologies, platforms, and domains
- Create communications, code samples, blog posts to share knowledge internally and externally
- Promote engineering excellence and inclusive environment
- Mentor internal talent and recruit to build the community
