Requirements

  • Tenured Product Development (PD) & sourcing experience across multiple product categories, including Apparel, Hardline, and Softline Accessories
  • Ability to establish and maintain partner relationships with current vendors and source new suppliers
  • Expertise in competitive pricing, new ideation, quick turn times, quality control, and on-time deliveries
  • Experience directing PD strategy for merchandise and accessories, and managing business relationships with finished product suppliers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment supporting Retail, E-commerce, Tour, and Popup development in UK and EU markets
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, Brand Management, Label Partners, Artist Management, Technical Design, and Creative Teams

Responsibilities

  • Serve as front-facing position, working closely with Brand Management and Label Partners
  • Develop/source new and existing fabric, trims, washes/dyes vendors for all upcoming development
  • Develop and maintain libraries for fabric and wash developments
  • Leverage trade tools to stay updated with trends, foresee new product opportunities, and identify new factories or expand existing ones in growing countries
  • Direct the Technical Design Team and Creative Team to ensure complete technical packages are prepared to initiate development
  • Initiate time and action calendars and drive activity with cross-functional teams and Artist Management to stay on schedule
  • Manage pre-production/development timelines, review reports, and recommend solutions to exceptions
  • Manage all details of the development process, including sampling submits, and communicate design comments to vendors to meet expectations
  • Work with Technical Design to ensure proper FIT comments are sent
  • Collaborate with Brand Management and Creative Teams to develop a final executable production assortment
  • Negotiate and cost engineer products with vendors across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with retail price points and margin requirements
  • Manage overall pricing and P&L analysis with Finance to ensure margin targets
