Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership positions, including 3+ years in a Director+ role leading multiple teams and products
  • Proven experience architecting large-scale systems and developer-centric workflows
  • Strong understanding of cloud native architectures and pragmatic approach to technical debt, migrations, and technical evolutions
  • Prior experience scaling teams and building strong partnerships with product, design, GTM, customers, vendors in a growing company
  • Experience with reasoning about large scale distributed systems architectures and understanding data flows from SDKs to delivery network to data platforms and back
  • Good understanding of data platforms, technical design, performance, scalability, reliability
  • Experience guiding engineering strategy, defining roadmap, and driving execution for core infrastructure, APIs, SDKs, and services
  • Ability to connect efforts to business outcomes and ensure the platform is resilient, scalable, and ready for the future
  • Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and coordinate broad technical investment efforts across several sets of teams
  • Experience as a leader in multiple engineering teams, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can grow, thrive, and advance their careers
  • Ability to model and evangelize a leadership style rooted in transparency, ownership, curiosity, and a bias for action

Responsibilities

  • Guide engineering strategy, define roadmap, and drive execution for core infrastructure, APIs, SDKs, and services
  • Connect efforts to business outcomes and ensure the platform is resilient, scalable, and ready for the future
  • Raise the bar and champion best practices in distributed systems, SDK experience, developer workflows, data platform, technical design, performance, scalability, reliability
  • Partner with product and engineering leaders across Feature Management, Release Observability, AI, Experimentation, and Product Analytics to deliver seamless platform-wide experiences
  • Hire, mentor, and support multiple engineering teams, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can grow, thrive, and advance their careers
  • Build a leadership bench, with the ability to hire, mentor, and develop next generation leaders
  • Foster a culture of transparency, ownership, curiosity, and a bias for action, with a demonstrated commitment to building inclusive, diverse teams
  • Communicate at the right level with teams, peers, and executive leadership, with the ability to negotiate and coordinate broad technical investment efforts
