Requirements

  • Seasoned and strategic compliance leader experience
  • Ability to provide oversight and guidance to high-performing teams managing Compliance Management System (CMS) and License & Exam Management (LEM)
  • Expertise in shaping team strategy, representing Compliance in senior forums, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws, bank partner requirements, regulatory engagement, and third-party risk management
  • Experience in licensing operations, exam coordination, and regulatory interactions
  • Leadership skills to set strategy, priorities, and performance expectations while supporting day-to-day execution
  • Ability to serve as escalation point and executive representative
  • Willingness to work hybrid with 3 days per week on-site in New York, SLC, or SF Headquarters (relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates outside NY/NJ/SF/SLC area)

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of CMS team, ensuring integration of policies, training, complaints, vendor oversight, and regulatory engagement
  • Ensure internal compliance policies are maintained and updated in line with federal/state laws and bank partner requirements
  • Oversee framework for role-based training programs, adaptable to risk exposure, job function, and regulatory changes
  • Govern complaint management processes for timely responses, effective remediation, and organizational learning
  • Ensure third-party risk management standards via vendor due diligence and oversight
  • Represent Flex with regulators and bank partners to reinforce transparency and credibility
  • Provide oversight of LEM operations, including licensing acquisition, renewals, amendments, and change management
  • Oversee exam coordination for precise and timely responses to regulatory inquiries and exams
  • Ensure centralized records of license and exam documentation, deadlines, and filings
  • Support proactive regulator engagement to anticipate and address issues
  • Partner with Legal, Operations, Finance, and other teams to embed licensing and exam readiness
  • Set strategy, priorities, and performance expectations for CMS and LEM teams while supporting execution
  • Serve as escalation point and executive representative for CMS and LEM
  • Represent Compliance in internal and external forums, balancing regulatory requirements with business strategy
  • Build visibility for the team’s contributions
