Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or science-related field (Required)
  • 10-15 years relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of operational aspects of clinical laboratory service delivery
  • Knowledge of regulatory and regional policies and practices in clinical laboratory environment
  • Excellent analytical skills to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations

Responsibilities

  • Direct, administer, and coordinate activities of Laboratory operations in an assigned region
  • Manage operational Profit & Loss (P&L) and the quality of services delivered
  • In conjunction with Senior Vice President, Global Central Labs, other regional general managers, and global functional managers, formulate short and long-term plans, objectives, and policies
  • Manage operations for Laboratory operations in an assigned region to ensure operational profitability and delivery of quality services to clients
  • Focus on customer satisfaction, ensure activities are in place to maintain and improve customer satisfaction levels, interact with clients to address operational issues, and ensure satisfaction with services
  • Develop policies, practices, and standards to minimize and manage business risk to the Company and customers
  • Develop, monitor, and implement regional budgets and pricing programs; maintain financial oversight of operations in assigned regions
  • Assure implementation and operational integration of Global Laboratory goals and objectives in regions as directed by senior management
  • Develop and implement region's strategic and tactical initiatives; take ownership of strategic initiatives and work with functional management to develop implementation plans, including measures to evaluate success
  • Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations, including training, coaching, and mentoring employees; planning, delegating, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems; approve actions for all management/human resource matters
  • In conjunction with Senior Vice President, Global Central Labs, other regional managers, and global functional managers, assist in formulating effective Global Laboratory strategic goals and objectives
  • Provide support to business development and continued development of a competitive service offering by comparing IQVIA Laboratory’s capabilities with market expectations
  • Manage facility needs and strategic planning for facility expansion
  • May act as site head
