Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, and a minimum of 8 years of prior design experience. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or comparable tools is required, alongside a strong understanding of piping codes and standards including ASME, ANSI, and API.

Responsibilities

The Senior Designer, Piping will lead the piping design team in delivering high-quality designs and models, overseeing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while coordinating with project managers, engineers, and clients. They will develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models using industry-standard software, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards, conducting stress analysis, and optimizing pipe routing. The role involves mentoring junior designers, conducting design reviews, and fostering a collaborative team environment, as well as liaising with other engineering disciplines, participating in design reviews and client presentations, and implementing quality control measures to meet client and regulatory standards.
