Candidates must possess an MS or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics, coupled with over 7 years of data science experience, particularly in marketing and product analytics. Proficiency in SQL-like languages (Hive, Spark) within cloud data platforms like Databricks, and strong Python skills for data analysis and modeling are essential. Experience in translating business questions into analytical approaches, a solid understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics, and hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI are required. Familiarity with tools like Hadoop, Splunk, and Excel, along with natural curiosity, creative thinking, business acumen, polished communication, and strong teamwork skills in a diverse and inclusive environment, are also necessary.
The Senior Data Scientist will analyze product usage patterns and customer journeys to derive actionable insights for marketing strategies related to acquisition and retention. They will drive experimentation through A/B and multivariate testing, build predictive models and machine learning solutions for personalization and forecasting, and identify user trends to make high-impact recommendations. This role involves partnering cross-functionally to present data stories and visualizations to diverse audiences, collaborating with insights and data engineering teams to improve product instrumentation, and guiding the automation of data pipelines using SQL and Python. Additionally, they will collaborate with other data scientists to promote data proficiency and elevate the team's influence.
