Requirements
Candidates must have at least 4 years of professional experience in data engineering, with proficiency in Python programming and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL. Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and ETL pipeline implementation and maintenance is required, along with knowledge of data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake and an understanding of development workflows and best practices. Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organizational, and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and adapt to new technologies. Familiarity with AWS services, data visualization techniques, machine learning pipelines, real-time data streaming platforms, DBT, and Airflow are preferred qualifications.
Responsibilities
The Senior Data Engineer will own the data pipeline, including designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure and ETL pipelines. They will lead the engineering team in ensuring code processes produce meaningful data stored performantly, which powers client-facing reporting and informs internal decisions. Key objectives include building and maintaining high-quality data solutions and large-scale data pipelines, optimizing data flow and collection, designing core data objects and models, implementing data quality checks and monitoring systems, and developing client-facing reporting solutions. The role also supports data-driven decision-making by creating metrics datasets and dashboards and collaborating across teams to improve data quality and deliver user-centric experiences.
