Requirements

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a data engineer, dev ops, or software engineer, with proficiency in Python coding. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required for deploying data processing infrastructure as code into an AWS or cloud environment, and 1 year of experience streaming real-time data into a data lake or lake house architecture. Advanced understanding of at least one big data processing technology (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake) is necessary, along with demonstrated ability in writing and analyzing complex SQL queries for performance optimization. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will play a key role in implementing and evolving the data platform, partnering with technical leadership to craft and execute the data strategy. Responsibilities include building and scaling data pipelines that transform billions of records across numerous systems into measurable data for analytics and customers. They will use modern tooling to build robust, extensible, and performant data platforms, develop reliable data acquisition and integration solutions, and deliver best-in-class application reporting solutions. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting, improving, and scaling existing data pipelines, models, and solutions, and building upon data engineering's CI/CD deployments and infrastructure-as-code for provisioning AWS services.
