About the Role

We're looking for a curious, business-minded Senior Analyst to drive insights that power our P&C insurance technology solutions. Reporting to the General Manager for P&C, you'll play a critical role in translating complex data into actionable business recommendations that enhance Gradient’s underwriting and claims solutions for our clients. You'll bridge technical analysis with strategic thinking—leveraging data analytics expertise to identify opportunities, measure performance, and drive revenue growth. You know how to dig into the numbers, ask the right questions, and clearly communicate what the data means for the business. This is a fully remote opportunity.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Drive business growth through deep-dive analyses on client performance, market trends, and product effectiveness.
  • Spearhead data-driven initiatives using advanced SQL to extract insights from large datasets and support strategic decision-making.
  • Champion analytical excellence by interpreting machine learning model outputs and translating technical findings into business recommendations.
  • Own key performance metrics and reporting frameworks that measure client outcomes and business impact.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration by supporting sales, product, and customer experience teams with data-driven insights.
  • Build analytical frameworks and automated reporting solutions that scale with business growth.
  • Lead client intelligence efforts, identifying patterns and opportunities that inform product development and positioning.

Skills Needed to Succeed

  • Advanced SQL: Proven experience with advanced SQL, including the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and work with large datasets.
  • Analytical Experience: 7+ years in analytical roles with strong business acumen and the ability to connect data insights to business outcomes.
  • Machine Learning Familiarity: Hands-on familiarity with machine learning concepts and model interpretation (building models is not required).
  • Strategic Communication: Demonstrated success translating technical analysis into strategic recommendations.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong curiosity and problem-solving mindset with experience in SaaS or technology environments.
  • Collaboration: Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
  • Insurance Knowledge (Plus): Insurance industry knowledge, particularly P&C underwriting or claims management, is a plus.
  • Startup Experience (Plus): Startup experience and comfort with fast-paced, evolving environments is a plus.
