Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in a senior-level role focused on threat research, threat and trend analysis, or designing applications for alerting and detection. Expertise in cyber threat intelligence (CTI) across vulnerability intelligence, exploit intelligence, malware, phishing, and ICS is required. Extensive experience with and awareness of cybersecurity data sources like C2 sensor networks, Deep and Dark Web, code repositories, and social media is necessary. Knowledge of the cybersecurity SaaS space and SIEM, SOAR, and TIP platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, Google SecOps, Cortex XSOAR, Swimlane, Anomali, ThreatConnect, and ThreatQ is essential. Strong self-motivation, the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and very strong attention to detail are also required. Certifications like CISSP, CEH, OSCP, and SANS/GIAC are considered a plus.
The Senior Cybersecurity Alerting Strategy Manager will work with AI scientists, Product leaders, cyber SMEs, Go To Market representatives, and end users to develop the next generation of cybersecurity capabilities for Dataminr’s alerting platform. This role involves a strategic and technical focus on developing AI models for cybersecurity use cases and identifying new and emerging threats in real-time. Responsibilities include developing, training, and finetuning AI alerting models for cybersecurity use cases, driving the incorporation of new data feeds to enhance cybersecurity alerting, assisting and informing cybersecurity alerting processes and operations by identifying emerging threats and refining understanding of existing ones, and identifying new opportunities for cybersecurity alerting actions and implementing them in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role also requires applying knowledge of threat, vulnerability, and exploitation trends to strengthen Dataminr's AI detection and contextualization capabilities.
Real-time AI for risk detection and alerts

Its platform provides insights to businesses, public sector organizations, and newsrooms, helping them respond proactively to potential threats and uncover stories before they become mainstream. The technology utilizes deep learning and multi-modal AI fusion to enhance event detection accuracy by analyzing various data types together. Dataminr operates on a business-to-business model and aims to empower organizations to effectively manage risks and respond to high-impact events.
