Requirements

10+ years of experience in the Threat Detection field preferably supporting a Cyber Threat Detection function
3+ years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing a team
Scripting and Automation Proficiency: Proficiency in either Python or Golang
System Administration Skills: Experienced in system administration across multiple operating systems, including Linux and Windows
Network Forensics and Event Management: Proficiency in network forensics, including logging and event management
Defensive Network Infrastructure Knowledge
Security Monitoring Technologies: Proficiency with WAF, Wiz, NDR, Web Proxies, UEBA, and DLP
MITRE ATT&CK™ Framework Understanding
Cybersecurity Framework Familiarity

Responsibilities

Lead a global team of Threat Detection Engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Threat Detection Pipeline
Promote security engineering best practices, including secure coding, security testing, and operational incident response
Guide adoption of Detection as Code principles, utilizing CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and management of detection rules and platform configurations
Implement and manage platform configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform
Oversee the full lifecycle management of security tools and platforms, including their evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization
Ensure reliability and performance of the Threat Detection Pipeline through proactive monitoring, including ongoing assessment, incident response, and system optimization
Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to explore emerging technologies and novel approaches to enhance security capabilities
Manage the security engineering data storage and compute budget, overseeing resource allocation and data lifecycle management
Oversee and manage team performance by setting objectives, monitoring key performance indicators, addressing operational incidents, and regularly updating senior management on team achievements and areas for improvement
