Requirements

Candidates must have deep experience designing, building, and operating in-production Big Data, stream processing, and/or enterprise data integration solutions, ideally using Apache Kafka. Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple B2B infrastructure software development projects is required, along with experience operating Linux, using cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and JVM tuning and troubleshooting. Familiarity with distributed systems such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Cassandra is essential, as is a strong desire to tackle hard technical problems and excellent communication skills. Ability to learn new technologies quickly and willingness to travel up to 20% are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Customer Success Architect will help customers leverage streaming architectures and applications to achieve business results by providing software architecture, design, and operations expertise related to Apache Kafka and the Confluent platform. Responsibilities include developing and advocating best practices, gathering product feedback, helping customers overcome operational challenges, building state-of-the-art streaming data infrastructure, and optimizing existing deployments. This role involves determining platform and application strategies for event-based businesses, presenting workshops, investigating solutions to complex challenges, writing recommendations, building tooling, testing new components, and contributing to documentation and knowledge base articles.
