About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between our product and our customers. As the go-to technical expert, you will guide prospects in understanding how Conduktor can address their business and technical challenges. You will collaborate closely with our Sales team, translating our technology into tangible value and ensuring our solutions deliver impact and drive positive business outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to demonstrate and communicate the value of Conduktor throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.
  • Analyze client challenges to recommend how our platform can enhance their data streaming processes.
  • Participate in sales meetings and presentations, and provide technical training to the sales team on our products and services.
  • Stay updated on new opportunities, industry developments, and competitive/complementary technologies. Use this knowledge to identify how Conduktor's products or services meet customer needs and provide input on product strategy to our technical teams.
  • Assist with technical onboarding and provide support during trial phases.
  • Create technical content, including presentations and documentation, to showcase the value of our platform.

Experience and Skills

  • Required:
    • 4+ years of industry experience selling in a B2B SaaS company, with a product targeting developers, ideally in the Apache Kafka space.
    • Proficiency in MEDDIC sales methodology.
    • Experience selling in the US and closing deals with enterprise or large mid-market accounts.
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to engage effectively with executives and technical audiences, selling in both business and technical contexts.
    • Ability to build strong operational and collaborative relationships with individuals in distributed teams and locations.
    • Solid understanding of streaming or messaging systems such as Apache Kafka, Pulsar, Rabbit MQ, JMS, as well as Linux operating systems and basic principles.
    • Skill in delivering compelling demos that tell a story, capture audience attention, and inspire prospects.
    • Ability to qualify and execute proof-of-values, including success criteria documentation, activities, and customer success engagement.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Previous experience working in a Series A or early-stage startup.
    • Experience working with partners, including Hyperscalers (AWS, MSFT, Google), other Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and Regional System Integrators (RSIs).
