Requirements

  • JD (or equivalent) with active bar membership (or equivalent) in Germany or Switzerland
  • English and German language proficiency essential
  • Significant business law experience at a large law firm or corporate legal department, including drafting, negotiating and closing complex business transactions in a regulated environment (e.g., purchase and sales agreements)
  • Preferably experience gained in a commercial role within the healthcare or life sciences industry
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and effectively, and ability to make on-the-spot risk calls
  • Proven team player with ability to work across all levels of the organization including multiple functional and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and direct procurement agreements as well as other strategic business agreements and transactions
  • Applying legal and business judgment to proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention
  • Supporting initiatives of the COO with a focus on continuous improvement activities in the Commercial space
  • Providing legal & compliance training to the business
  • Providing Legal support to certain manufacturing sites in region
  • Managing disputes and litigation, outside counsel to defined budgets when brought in to assist
  • Providing region legal support to other parts of Cytiva and Danaher on an ad hoc basis
