Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering - highly preferred
  • Certification in lean manufacturing - preferred
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry - preferred
  • Ability to identify waste, formulate action plans and drive improvement - preferred
  • Physical requirements: May involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as appropriate; May be required to reach, push, or pull in order to accomplish job accountabilities; Requires use of safety glasses in designated areas; Closed-toe/closed-heel safety shoes must be worn on the production floor

Responsibilities

  • Lead value stream mapping workshops and kaizen events
  • Oversee future state implementation
  • Evaluate & drive productivity improvements
  • Monitor & improve lean metrics (lead time, changeover time, inventory levels, etc.)
  • Design flow systems between work cells
  • Partner with Finance associates to quantify CI cost reductions
  • Personally execute improvements
  • Coach others in Lean concepts
  • Work closely and collaboratively with members of other teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Identify root causes of issues, determine potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements
  • Follow the company’s standards for process development, quality and safety
  • Evaluate and improve value streams at Stryker's site
  • Design lean systems
  • Influence cross-functional teams
  • Execute improvement initiatives to continuously drive top performance from our production system
