Simon is seeking a Content Marketing Manager with a player-coach mentality to own the content editorial calendar, define brand voice and tone standards, and produce high-quality demand generation and brand awareness content. This role involves managing contract writers, establishing content production systems, and owning Simon's social media presence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging, non-traditional B2B marketing content.

Responsibilities

  • Own the content editorial calendar with a 3-6-9 month perspective.
  • Define and own brand voice and tone standards for all marketing content, creating materials to guide internal teams and contractors.
  • Produce high-quality demand generation and brand awareness content, including:
    • Long-form content (blogs, guides, white papers, e-books, one-sheets, case studies)
    • Presentations
    • Webinars
    • Videos
  • Delegate and manage the output of contract writers to support content strategy.
  • Scale content efforts by establishing content production systems and processes (briefs, reviews, etc.), content templates, and a cadence for content recycling and optimization.
  • Own the production of Simon's thought leadership and executive content.
  • Work with the executive team to determine the executive editorial calendar and provide ongoing feedback on content.
  • Own Simon's social media presence:
    • Post to all channels at a regular cadence, utilizing existing content and producing social media-native content.
    • Listen to and respond to industry trends, leveraging viral moments to showcase Simon's brand.
  • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager on content recycling and optimization for paid channels, and create new content for inbound and outbound programs.
  • Partner with contract design resources to conceptualize and create engaging visuals for content.
  • Write or edit content for various marketing channels when necessary.

How Success is Measured

  • Qualified website visitors and related metrics (new vs. returning, time on site, organic traffic growth).
  • Lead generation through content downloads and email subscribers.
  • Social media platform engagement (LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram).
  • Sales pipeline contribution.

Qualification

  • Relevant bachelor's degree.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a content or copywriting role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a management role OR experience managing outside contractors and agencies.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Creative and passionate about producing engaging, non-boring B2B marketing content.
  • Ability to identify as a "meme lord" and a disdain for bland, buzzword-filled content.
