A background in designing product experiences for social media ecosystems, such as activity feeds, user-generated content, profiles, and sharing, is required. Candidates must confidently connect their knowledge of user psychology in online social ecosystems to tangible UX solutions, contribute to product strategy and vision, and clearly articulate content recommendations and decisions to stakeholders. They should be able to give, seek, and incorporate thoughtful feedback, advocate for equitable and accessible design choices, take initiative, prioritize workload, and meet project deadlines. Experience working with a design system and using tools like Figma, Lyssna, and JIRA is also required. Preferred qualifications include experience tracking the business impact of content design and communicating it to internal stakeholders, as well as writing experience in the digital fundraising space. Candidates should be based in San Diego, Los Angeles, or San Francisco.
The Senior Content Designer will lead content design on high-profile product initiatives as part of a cross-functional product team, partnering with product designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, legal, marketing, and other writers. They will align their work with business goals, user needs, and the design system, and advocate for clear, consistent, and engaging content for their product area at every stage of the product cycle. The role also involves championing the discipline's impact by mentoring designers, PMs, and others to improve their UX writing skills and center content in their processes.
