Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a technical support environment or similar technical function with customer-facing responsibilities
  • Basic understanding of public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Understanding of database fundamentals and concepts (SQL, performance tuning, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SFTP, and DNS, and the ability to troubleshoot connection issues using diagnostic tools
  • Technical skills in one or more areas preferred: Internet Protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP(S), etc.), Operating Systems (Windows, *Nix, etc.)
  • Excellent written communication skills in Japanese and basic verbal communication skills in English
  • Intermediate or higher level reading and writing skills in English
  • Passion for working with global teams and diverse individuals
  • Strong desire to support customers and contribute to their success

Responsibilities

  • Propose technical solutions to complex issues for Snowflake customers and partners, providing detailed analysis and advice via email, web, and phone
  • Adhere to support processes and strive to resolve customer issues quickly and exceed their expectations
  • Utilize Snowflake environments, connectors, third-party software, and tools to investigate the root cause of problems
  • Record and share known solutions in internal and external knowledge bases
  • Report issues in detail based on customer requests
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide support for customer requests and prioritize solutions
  • Participate in various support projects
  • Provide support on holidays and weekends as needed to meet business requirements
