Requirements

  • Field-based position supporting Abbott’s Vascular division in Sacramento, CA
  • Expertise as technical procedure and product expert in hospital settings
  • Focus on Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, and Interventional Radiologists
  • Support for full Endovascular portfolio including atherectomy, thrombectomy, base peripheral, vessel closure, and future product releases
  • Ability to meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify clinical needs, goals, and constraints
  • Capability to develop relationships with hospital personnel and make new contacts in hospital departments
  • Serve as primary resource for clinical support, troubleshooting, and in-service education
  • Proficiency in educating customers via presentations and demonstrations using various formats (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals)
  • Attendance at clinical procedures in Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, and Operating Room
  • Ability to respond to customer needs and complaints with creative solutions or collaboration with sales, clinical research, marketing, and product development teams

Responsibilities

  • Case planning, case support coverage, and product pull-through throughout the designated territory and Region as needed
  • Promote Vascular products through education, service, and training of customers in the hospital setting
  • Provide clinical education and sales support to achieve projected sales goals, increase sales revenues, and market share
  • Serve as the technical procedure and product expert in support of case coverage in the hospital setting
  • Meet with customers to discuss and demonstrate how Vascular products meet their clinical needs and goals
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel and identify key decision-makers
  • Provide clinical support in case coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products
  • Educate customers on merits and proper clinical usage of products, including latest developments in products, therapies, technologies, and industry items
  • Attend clinical procedures to ensure customer and patient success with Vascular products
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing solutions or collaborating with related personnel
