Candidates must have 3-5 years of equivalent work experience as a business analyst, with experience creating and maintaining traditional and modern techniques, templates, and written communications for both business and IT. A solid understanding of various methodologies and frameworks such as PMBOK, Agile, Traditional, and SCRUM is required, along with experience in Agile projects. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as are effective oral and written communication and organization skills. The ability to balance multiple projects, be flexible with assignment types and client needs, work independently or as part of a team, and engage in open feedback and difficult conversations is necessary. A Bachelor's degree in business management, communication, computer science, or a related field is required, as is previous experience in a technical consulting environment or with multiple clients. Continuous pursuit of professional development through certifications like TOGAF, CBA, CCBA, or CBAP is also required.
The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between end-users and product consultants, understanding business structures, policies, and operations. They will conduct needs assessments and preliminary cost/benefit analyses to align business initiatives with technology solutions. Responsibilities include developing functional and non-functional requirements for software development, utilizing various diagramming, modeling, prototyping, and backlog management techniques. The role involves working with business users to solve issues and identify opportunities for improved solutions, providing input to estimates, and offering role leadership through coaching, mentoring, and standards enforcement. The analyst will develop and maintain effective relationships, persuade others to reverse negative attitudes, and consolidate varied viewpoints. They may also function in a scrum master, project manager, or quality assurance capacity and will train and mentor on mainstream IT concepts, technologies, and methods/frameworks. Other duties as assigned will also be performed.
