Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful
  • Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) meeting Level 2 criteria
  • 10+ years of Structural Engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Playing a key role in the growth, leadership, and development of the Ohio Structural team
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with DOT and local agency clients, assisting with business development for the Structural Engineering service line
  • Applying knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge and transportation structures design
  • Performing as a project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects (Training and support is available if needed)
  • Reviewing complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance
  • Assisting senior management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
  • Preparing scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assignments
  • Preparing proposals and funding applications
  • Involvement in other various projects and responsibilities as opportunities present themselves
