Requirements

Strong database expertise, particularly with Postgres (schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies)
Experience with architectural and system-level work to handle enterprise-scale workloads (10–20x larger volumes of data, users, and entities)
Ability to analyze and resolve deep-rooted system bottlenecks in storage, query performance, APIs, and data models
Proficiency in redesigning existing components for scalability and maintainability
Skills in leading migrations from legacy implementations to sustainable replacements
Capability to improve reliability and efficiency of APIs and integrations for internal and external enterprise clients
Experience driving technical projects from definition to delivery, including scope setting and cross-team coordination
Long-term architectural thinking to ensure system health, growth, and development speed
Ability to share technical knowledge, review designs, and establish best practices for backend and systems design
Focus on underlying architecture and scalability, proactive risk identification, balancing hands-on coding with leadership, and ensuring performance/reliability for enterprise customers

Responsibilities

Share technical knowledge with the team, review designs, and help establish best practices for backend and systems design
