Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a backend engineer developing scalable, production-ready solutions
  • Strong experience with Typescript, Golang, PHP or JVM languages (Kotlin, Scala)
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs for and collaborating with internal and public data consumers
  • Experience in cloud computing
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
  • Understand the importance of strong software testing at every stage and can advocate for test-driven development
  • Continuous integration and delivery mindset
  • Taking ownership of projects and healthy curiosity to learn more
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS). (Nice to have)
  • Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.). (Nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct projects from scoping to release
  • Contribute to the broader engineering/enablement and product strategy
  • Develop a high affinity with your product domain and collaborate with product and design to plan and continuously develop
  • Pave the way on groundbreaking new features, designing and implementing architecture, developing and maintaining the team’s products in a “you build it, you own it” philosophy
  • Coordinate efforts across the teams rather than working in a silo
  • Mentor and actively drive the technical skills of the immediate or extended team with consideration of their career stage and personal trajectory
  • Drive innovation for new functionalities of the product and optimize existing codebase
  • Ensure full autonomy and ownership over work, including well-architected code functionality, comprehensive test automation, scalability in cloud infrastructure, and proper monitoring
  • Build, extend, and maintain the Showpad platform
