Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in Java/Kotlin and backend development
Strong understanding of microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with cloud-native services (preferably AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Proficiency in designing and maintaining data processing pipelines, APIs, and system integrations
A proactive mindset and focus on improving systems rather than simply delivering features
Fluency in English and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Awareness of secure software development practices (SSDLC) and commitment to quality assurance
Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot
Bonus: hands-on experience with AI/ML including prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and deploying models into production systems

Responsibilities

Design and build backend services that process and enrich metadata in near real-time
Model and maintain metadata structures that ensure consistency and completeness
Create APIs and event-driven systems to support metadata distribution across teams
Optimize performance and correctness in a high-throughput, low-latency pipeline
Collaborate with backend developers, data specialists, and other teams to innovate across the entire metadata lifecycle, from ingestion and modeling to enrichment and delivery
