Responsibilities

The Senior Applied AI Engineer will design and implement production-ready AI agents using frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph, and build sophisticated tool-calling systems for API interaction. Responsibilities include developing multi-agent workflows, creating prompt engineering strategies with versioning, implementing RAG systems, and optimizing agent performance. The role also involves building Python-based AI services with FastAPI, developing TypeScript/React components for AI integration, creating real-time streaming interfaces, implementing secure API endpoints, and designing fallback systems. Additionally, the engineer will build evaluation and testing frameworks for AI features, ensure AI implementations comply with FERPA and COPPA, implement privacy-preserving techniques, build audit trails and explainability features, develop content filtering and safety mechanisms, and create monitoring systems to prevent AI misuse, collaborating with legal and compliance teams on AI governance.
