Senior Accounts Payable Analyst

Position Overview

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst to join its world-class Accounting and Finance Organization. This role requires a results-oriented individual capable of thriving in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices within the company's ERP system. Additionally, you will identify and analyze aged invoices, resolve queries, and collaborate with the General Ledger team to address AP-related reconciliation items. You will serve as a point of escalation for inquiries and issues, work with multiple currencies, and possess strong knowledge of foreign exchange concepts. Responsibilities include updating vendor banking records, adhering to company policies and procedures, meeting monthly close deadlines, providing audit support, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring US GAAP compliance. You will also contribute to ad-hoc projects aimed at process and reporting improvements, and provide critical support and collaboration with the global accounting operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Process Purchase Order (PO) and non-PO invoices, ensuring correct matching to POs and coding.
  • Assist with processing global invoices.
  • Identify and analyze aged invoices, taking corrective action to ensure AP aging is within terms.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations for high-volume and disputed vendors.
  • Manage trackers for critical suppliers.
  • Assist with urgent requests by providing organized and accurate analysis on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Research and resolve escalated accounting inquiries.
  • Partner with internal teams to clear any AP-related reconciling items.
  • Provide support and cover to team members as required.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects.
  • Adhere to reporting deadlines as prescribed in the close calendar.
  • Raise issues/queries with the Manager/Corporate team promptly and coordinate resolutions.
  • Assist with the creation and preparation of ad hoc schedules and reports as required by management.
  • Assist with month-end close activities.
  • Provide support for external, internal, and SOX audits, process walkthroughs, and workflows, primarily during quarter and year-end audits.
  • Prepare all regulatory compliance related to accounts payable (e.g., TDS reporting).
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at regular intervals in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively to promote favorable partnerships with internal and external customers.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or other related fields of study.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze issues and recommend/implement solutions.
  • Experience working with global teams is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday or another large-scale ERP is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to identify and prioritize issues and be accountable for resolution.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and present them to management.
  • Ability to work independently and as a strong team player.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
